About Us
The Thunder Bay & District Humane Society is a 100% not-for-profit established as a corporation in 1994; We do not receive any government funding and rely solely on donations, fundraising and adoption income.
We are an affiliate of the Ontario SPCA (Ontario Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) www.ospca.ca. This allows us to offer humane education in the schools as well as educate the general public on animal welfare. We are also registered with the Canadian Federation of Humane Societies and the Humane Alliance.
We are dedicated to providing care and shelter to animals in need & helping you bring love and joy into your home by adopting a cat or dog from our shelter.
