Modern Medical is proud to bring Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) to Northwestern Ontario. Our clinic is committed to delivering evidence-based hyperbaric medicine to the region, supporting OHIP-insured conditions in our 8 chamber state of the art facility.
Modern Medical was designed to support patients with high-quality care, foster meaningful collaboration with healthcare professionals, and improve access to Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy for communities across Northern Ontario.
Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) is a medical treatment that involves breathing 100% oxygen in a specially designed chamber with higher-than-normal atmospheric pressure. By increasing the pressure to 2–3 times that of normal air, HBOT allows the lungs to absorb significantly more oxygen. This elevated oxygen level in the bloodstream stimulates the body’s natural healing processes in areas where oxygen delivery may otherwise be compromised in both healthy people and those with medical conditions.
