With rustic Scandinavian inspired architecture, Valhalla Hotel is both the largest full service hotel in Northwestern Ontario and the most unique.
A fixture in the Thunder Bay community, the Valhalla Hotel & Conference Centre was built in 1981 by developer Peter Peachy. Unsatisfied with traditional hotel styles, Peachy drew inspiration from Northern Europe with the rustic modern Scandinavian influence. As one of the largest Finnish communities outside of Europe, the aesthetic Peachy sought to portray proudly lives on today.
