As part of the scheduled 2026 Joint Review of CUSMA, the Government of Canada is actively engaging with industry leaders, businesses, labour organizations, and stakeholders to ensure that Canada’s negotiating position reflects our national economic interests. This review provides an important opportunity to modernize the Agreement and ensure it continues to support growth, resilience, and fairness across sectors.
In this context, Minister Patty Hajdu has requested our perspectives on the following:
• What outcomes would you like Canada to pursue in the CUSMA review?
• Which existing elements of the Agreement are most important for Canada to maintain?
• Which aspects of CUSMA have supported your operations, or posed challenges?
• Are there areas of the Agreement that you believe should be modernized?
